Imperial Tobacco übernimmt Altadis
Imperial Tobacco steht vor der Übernahme des spanisch-französischen Altadis-Konzerns. Heute hat Altadis mitgeteilt, dass der Altadis-Vorstand seinen Aktionären empfielt, das neue Übernahmeangebot von Imperial Tobacco im Wert von 16.2 Milliarden Euro anzunehmen:
Altadis has confirmed to Imperial Tobacco that it considers that the Offer is attractive and that, in the absence of a competing offer at a higher price being filed with the CNMV, the Board of Altadis will recommend the Offer to Altadis› shareholders and the directors of Altadis intend to accept the Offer in respect of their own beneficial shareholdings.
Der Altadis-Konzern hält unter anderem eine 50 Prozent Beteiligung an der Habanos SA, der kubanischen Vertriebsgesellschaft für Havanna-Zigarren.
