Artofsmoke zeigt aktuell einen historischen Katalog von Cubatabaco aus dem Jahr 1962 (aus dem selben Jahr stammt auch der Katalog, den die Cubancigarwebsite zugänglich machte). Der farbige Katalog ist ein echtes Schmuckstück, er umfasst 116 Seiten, auch eine Preisliste ist beigefügt. Alle paar Seiten sind Informationen zur Geschichte der Havanna-Zigarre und zum Anbau eingeschoben. Der folgende Ausschnitt (S. 81) bringt Erstaunliches über die damaligen Vorlieben der britischen Zigarrenliebhaber zu Tage:

The British happen to like their cigars rather dry as well as aged. This has led to the classic American tourist joke about the horrors of English cigar smoking… about biting off the end of a cigar and getting a cloud of tobacco dust. This ist sheer blasphemy, however, for years the Cuban makers have regularly sent their feinest selection of cigars to Great Britain, and the English climate is really quite ideal for the maturing of cigars. In their quiet way the British have answered their cigar critics by posting huge signs on certain shops which say «Green Cigars»… which means unmatured, moist Havannas intended solely for the American tourist trade, and seldom if ever smoked by the cigar-loving Englishmen.
